We are delighted to announce our collaboration with the AECC-Catalunya contra el Cáncer in Barcelona to sponsor information seminars. Prevention and awareness among the population regarding the risk factors of cancer are the pillars of this program. We have also incorporated targeted actions to share information on the advances in research and specific diseases, and for promoting a healthy lifestyle in the population.
The first seminar took place on February 4th to commemorate International Cancer Day, and the next session is set for March 31st in honour of World Colon Cancer Day. This session will focus on how to live with cancer from a psycho-social point of view, how to cope with the diagnosis (patient testimony will be available), and on how diet and nutrition can be an ally in the treatment of colon cancer. Supporting cancer patients and their families is one of MatchTrial’s primary objectives. We want to empower patients by giving them all the information they need about their disease and its treatment, and to be actively involved in the decision-making process. It is just as important to feel accompanied and supported during the process as it is to feel well informed. Giving patients the emotional support they need improves patient quality of life.
We are very proud to be able to collaborate with AECC Barcelona and support these seminars for all who are interested and especially for cancer patients and their families. We hope patients and their families turn to us for support.
